Of equal concern, when thinking about aging, is that question in the back of everyone's mind:

I am getting older. You are getting older. We is all getting older... However, I find that now I'm over 40 (and will remain that age forever as far as birthdays are concerned), I'm starting to experience things like waking up at 5 a.m. and being unable to sleep anymore. Which is paradoxical as I seem to be pretty tired late afternoon. Will my future really contain the notion of "the midday nap"? I mean, I'm fine with that, although work does get in the way... Perhaps though, we should all take note of the natural course of things and learn a thing or two from our dogs and cats who all seem to welcome the midday nap... not to mention the late afternoon nap and the early morning nap... :)

2nd Annual Designer Dish for the Modern Mutt coming soon - February 19th to be exact at Design Within Reach in Cherry Creek. In conjunction with Denver Dumb Friends League and Dogs On White Modern Portraits... See you there? Doesn't everyone need a designer dog bowl? All proceeds from the silent auction go to DDFL. And if you don't have a dog or cat, why not come down and adopt one? Hmm? Or just hand over some hard-earned cash for a worthy cause? Hmm? Karma points...

Gearing up for shooting DDFL's Barks & Bow Ties fundraiser on October 2nd. Will be offering free portraits to all participants. Should be fun.

AUGUST 2010

So the event was considered a huge success. One cat, one dog adopted with forever homes, about $800 raised or donated to DDFL, all bowls bid on and accounted for, and one winner for the free pet portrait session. All the contributing artists are disgustingly talented and there is already talk of repeating the event with more publicity. I have to say, in the modern home, the husky looks awesome. I'm leaving entry forms down at DWR all week so if any of you want to go down and enter, feel free.
